Android 2.2+

Below are instructions on how to connect your AndroidOS version 2.2+ based device to the eduroam wireless network. There are different version of Android available, but the wireless is similar on all the current releases.

Please note: that some mobile phone vendors have removed some options and protocols from their devices which results in them not being configurable for eduroam. If you can not see the options described on this page, your device may not work with eduroam.

1. First you must of register your device.

2. Click on "Menu", "Settings" and then "Wireless & Networks", "Wi-Fi Settings" and turn WiFi on.

3. Now click on eduroam and the click connect.

4. Set the "EAP" type to "PEAP".
5. Set the "Sub type" to "PEAPV0/MSCHAPv2".

6. Enter your username@your-realm.ac.uk. (Please read the FAQ Section for your realm name)
7. Now enter your password.
8. Then click on "connect".

9. You should now see the eduroam status change to first "Obtaining address" and the finally "connected".
10. You are now connected.
